Biography:
I think that a truly great horse only comes along once in a lifetime. I have had many horses, but “Squeetie” is the one. She was my first 2 year old I took through the futurity process to finished. She has grown with me as a trainer and has spent countless hours under saddle.
“Squeetie” and I did our first internship with Karen Cassidy at Rainbows End Farms in Clint Texas and received 90 days of training in Evening. We also trained under; Christine Corn, Kathy King, Carmen Love, and several others. We rode on the Sul Ross and Texas A&M Equestrian Team in Jumping, Hunter Under Saddle, and Western Horsemanship.
We also spent a year giving Clinics for the Summer 4-H horse Project, were we toured the state of Texas and worked with hundreds of kids. We also guided pack trips outside Big Bend National Park, Texas on all school breaks. She was even featured on a trail riding video. She’s tried it all from barrel racing, poles, team penning, and even polo.
Squeetie’s show record is limited to Open Shows, since most of the time I was giving lessons at the time. She has won countless classes in Hunter Hack, Trail, Western Horsemanship, and We have also done several 3 day events, endurance rides and foxhunts.
She knows the difference in tack and is a completely different horse under different saddles. She is bomb proof and will walk across tin, up stairs, and you can shoot a rifle off her back. She has been in parades and has even volunteered to be used for horse therapy for the physically handicapped. She is great on the trail and has saved me on more than one occasion. She stops when she feels a rider loose their balance and will wait patiently until the rider is ready to continue. She has given lessons and she is very safe around children. She would be great for a first timer to intermediate level rider or as a family horse. She loves to be groomed, clipped, and loads well. She needs a rider that will give her all the love she deserves, and take her out to play often. She is a very easy keeper and I have never had any major vet bills.
The last year has been rough on her, I have not spent as much time as I would have liked to with her, but she is back in training now. Her first Foal was just exported to Italy, and my stepdaughter no longer rides her and has moved on. Although I love her deeply, I feel that she deserves to really show off her talents, and I am constantly working with other horses. She’s point and shoot at fences, rides great even after time off, and most of all she’s trustworthy. She will win your heart just as she has mine and it will be tough to let her go.
Top.
